  7.     Cartoonist GARRY TRUDEAU'S DOONESBURY comic strip has taken
  8. an acerbic view of the Desert Storm conflict. Trudeau likes
  9. taking the soldier's outlook, so it seemed natural enough that
  10. he let an airman stationed in Saudi Arabia use his newspaper
  11. space. Air Force Sergeant TOM ROMINGER began drawing his Living
  12. in Purgatory cartoons under the name "Zorro" to amuse his
  13. fellow soldiers, one of whom sent the comics to Trudeau. The
  14. fill-ins featured, among other observations, a soldier being
  15. roasted on a spit and another who hanged himself before his lost
  16. mail was found.
